Review: Berry Well

As part of the TOS Homeschool Crew, I've been posting about all kinds of educational items.  As the year is winding down (only six more Crew reviews coming after this one!), I get the chance to write about something completely different.

BeeYouTiful sent me a bottle of Berry Well to try out.  Before I get too far in this review, however, I want to point out that they are located in Tennessee, amidst all that horrible flooding.  So prayers for them would certainly be appreciated.

But back to Berry Well.  The product information states:
"Never fear the flu when you keep Berry Well on hand.  Each ingredient in this pleasantly fruity syrup holds its own against flu, colds, and a swarm of bacterial and viral infections."
So what are those ingredients?

  • elderberries
  • raw honey
  • bee propolis and organic echinacea root extract
  • raw apple cider vinegar
Mostly, I used this one myself.  My first taste was surprising.  I think I expected something sweeter.  Instead, you definitely know that apple cider vinegar is one of the ingredients.  But that is misleading... it isn't like drinking vinegar!  I liked it quite a bit.

My kids each had a spoonful one day when everyone seemed to be a bit run down.  They all gave me various "this isn't what I expected" looks.  Nobody disliked it, but they didn't beg for more.  I would have to say, I kind of like that.  I hate having "medicine" that tastes so good that my kids beg for it, nor do I want "medicine" that tastes so awful that nobody is willing to take it.  This seemed perfect.

How does it work?  Well, it is hard to know.  I did not get sick this last go-around when most everyone else did.  I just was tired.

At $18 for a bottle, unfortunately, this is not something I am likely to purchase often.  But I was very impressed with the quality, and I felt good about taking it.

Check them out -- Beeyoutiful has a full line of health products, and the Crew received a number of different items.  You can check out their reviews at:

Disclaimer:  As part of the TOS Homeschool Review Crew, I did receive a complimentary bottle of Berry Well from Beeyoutiful.  The fact that I received a complimentary product does not guarantee a favorable review.  It does guarantee a review. A fair review. But I am not going to praise something unless I think it deserves the praise.  If I don't like it, you'll hear that.  And hopefully with enough detail as to why so you can decide for yourself if what I hate about it makes it perfect for your family.  For more about my take on reviews, visit my blog post here.
