He got up three times for about 5 minutes each time just to get some water. And he was up for about a half hour fairly late last night.

Dale did pretty much the same thing for two days.

Can't read aloud when they are asleep. :(

Usually, sick days here mean HOURS of reading aloud. I'm hoping today is more like that.Debrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08416139988162419457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-53873677645881723.post-5280173993019448032013-01-24T01:09:14.028-07:002013-01-24T01:09:14.028-07:00Two sick kids? They are a captive audience, they aren't usually up to doing any other schoolwork, and it feels good to be read to when you don't feel like doing anything else!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-53873677645881723.post-44391677707578053002013-01-23T14:02:29.420-07:002013-01-23T14:02:29.420-07:00You are all great!

Maybe that needs to be my next confession post.

Today, of course, I have two sick kids. We have a family read aloud in the evenings that we are plowing through (Neverending Story is a LONG book), but we only read that about 20 minutes a night.

I've got a whole stack of books to read aloud this year and it's just not happening! And I get out of the habit. If I force myself to go ahead and do it on the days I don't want to, I always feel great about after.

It's kinda like cleaning out a closet.
