While I've loved the enrichment ones, as the boys get older I know that I may seek out ones that do cover a core subject I feel inadequate teaching. Although with my eldest, it could be a subject HE needs someone else to teach.Laura O in AKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16553515030417720783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-53873677645881723.post-30587782101843680342010-02-23T12:29:08.828-07:002010-02-23T12:29:08.828-07:00Good post. Although we are starting a new one this week. We'll see how it goes.berrypatchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05549788623907370094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-53873677645881723.post-36046617536789301812010-02-22T16:46:44.945-07:002010-02-22T16:46:44.945-07:00Jodi -- thanks :)

I know there are a couple that do sound like they would be good. I need to really look at the details. Maybe in the fall I'll join the "using a co-op" crowd again.Debrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08416139988162419457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-53873677645881723.post-46771485811123088372010-02-22T15:06:50.947-07:002010-02-22T15:06:50.947-07:00We have been doing co-ops for 7 semesters now and ...We have been doing co-ops for 7 semesters now and we love it. We go once a week for 8 weeks and the kids have three class periods in that time. It is completely parent led and I teach every semester, usually two classes a semester. Our co-op offers three class choices for each period for 6 and up, and then usually 2 choices for pre school. It has really enriched our homeschool and my children (14 and 11) love it. We count the three hours at co-op as 1/2 a day of school as long as they are taking "learning" classes. My children look at the classes offered and tell me their preference. But in the end, it is my husband and I who choose what they take.Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04257735291983999133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-53873677645881723.post-17343573811040244922010-02-22T13:11:36.796-07:002010-02-22T13:11:36.796-07:00It was nice reading your thoughts on this topic. Great post!Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13927604807073799683noreply@blogger.com
