Gratitude Challenge: November 8

Today, I am grateful for the internet.

As a homeschooling mom, especially a homeschooling mom of one teen (have to claim that "only one" status while I can!), I keep encountering all kinds of things I either a) never learned, or b) don't remember.

Fortunately, most stuff I use includes an answer key.

Unfortunately, sometimes the answer key doesn't help.

Fortunately, most of the time I can do a quick internet search and get results that will either remind me of what is going on, or they will provide me with something amazing to make Connor watch/read and he will get it (so I don't have to).

Unfortunately, sometimes I am so completely clueless that I don't have the vaguest notion of what to even search for, which means I can't find it.

But as I had demonstrated for me this morning, I can beg my Facebook friends for help.  Post a wacky equation and grovel... and within a fairly short period of time one person gives me the term I was completely missing (log... as in "take the log of both sides of the equation"), followed by another who shows me how to work it.

I cannot imagine how I would get through some of this stuff... especially on days when I'm not feeling great... if I didn't have such amazing and wonderfully accessible resources.  I have some fabulous facebook friends.  And for them, I am truly grateful.

What are you grateful for today?  You can click the button above to go see what others are posting...

The Internet is a WONDERFUL source ... most times. FB friends (and real friends too) are the best in a pinch - always willing to lend a hand.
