Let them eat... Cereal!

I have to share my shopping trip to King Soopers last night.  I spent a total of $13.23, and received $3 off on my next order (I used $8 in "on your next order" coupons too, so it was really $18.23 net), and I came home with:

  • 4 gallons of milk
  • 8 boxes of cereal
  • 4 packages of tortillas (this makes up almost 1/3 of my total spent!)
  • 2 packages of Oreos
  • Softsoap
  • Ham (my only full price purchase, but certainly better than Dale having to get fast food for lunch!)
  • 3 8 oz packages of sliced cheese (cheddar, and pepper-jack -- and another almost 1/3 of my order total)
Not bad, huh?

Maybe I'll pull out my Walgreen's receipts too, because that trip was really impressive.

Very impressive indeed!! I'm jumping back on the coupon wagon myself. I love hearing about other ladies' frugal shopping trips. ;) Keeps me motivated!

Yes, by all means--post your Walgreen's receipts! I'm planning my Walgreen's strategy at the moment myself. (Hee hee) Register Rewards, here I come! :D

Um - sounds impressive, but where's the fruit and vegetables, or do you grow them yourself?

We're seriously lacking in fruit this week, but veggies are in the freezer and fridge already. I didn't claim to be purchasing the makings of a good, well-balanced meal plan. Someday we'll be able to do that again. Not this week. :( We're mostly living out of the rapidly shrinking pantry.

Denise -- I'll post my Walgreen's stuff after a bit. :)

For the record, those Oreos are *incredibly* unusual purchases for me...

Mostly, I *needed* sandwich makings for Dale (that's $7.50 of my total) and tortillas (another $5) because I'm horrible at making my own. The rest I bought because it only cost me about $5 total.
