Book Review: Dragons: Legends & Lore of Dinosaurs

Dragons: Legends & Lore of DinosaursThe kids and I just finished reading a really fascinating book -- Dragons: Legends & Lore of Dinosaurs.  The illustrations are gorgeous, and there are tons of great little pull-out sections, open the flap bits, and books within books.

At only 24 pages, you'd think this would be a quick read, but there is a lot of information packed into these pages.  We read stories of dragon myths and legends from around the world, we looked at dragons in art, and we read newspaper accounts of dragon sightings.  We read Bible verses about dragons, we read historians accounts of dragons, we read stories of dragon-slaying saints, and we read stories of sea monsters like Nessie.

My kids loved this book.  It is worth every penny just for the illustrations, but the text was fascinating as well.

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who is fascinated by dragons, or who is fascinated by dinosaurs.
