Reading Aloud Challenge: One Word

Blech.

It is my word of the day.  I've used it often.

It fits this week too, as far as reading aloud goes.  But hey, I committed to posting about this weekly, and I'm simply going to do it.

We are caught up in The American Patriot's Almanac by William Bennett.  This past week, well, it started pretty grim.  We read about the Boston Massacre (and it was a really good selection), the Alamo, Bloody Sunday, Helen Keller, Ironclads, Alexander Graham Bell, Interplanetary Probes, and the Truman Doctrine.

Trina and I finished A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett.  She absolutely adored this story, and it was nice to have a story totally completely just for her.

The Fellowship of the Ring by J. R. R. Tolkien, did actually get started... and we're somewhere in chapter 1.  Impressive, eh?

There is oh, NOTHING to take a picture of, as I already returned A Little Princess, and the other two are on my Kindle.  Blech.

How about you?  What are you reading out loud?  I'd love some inspiration, so feel free to link up your posts about reading aloud, or leave me a comment and tell me I can do it...

Some weeks are like that . . . even in Australia. I'll pray this week is a whole lot less "blech."
