American Math Challenge

Okay, this is just too good to pass up!

Check out American Math Challenge if you have children aged nine to fourteen.  You can have free access to the Mathletics website this week and next, though from what I can tell, it isn't quite as nice as the full Mathletics site.  Close though.

The kids do need to be able to read the math problems, or have you nearby.  Fortunately for me, my guys have gotten to the point that they can all handle most of it on their own.

There are prizes for the top 10 students.  I doubt my kids are going to be trying for that, but still... this is a website I've looked at frequently and wanted to try.  At $60 per year per kid for a subscription, it isn't something I can afford to "just try," so a chance for my kids to use it for almost two weeks for free, yeah, I'm on it.

And I have to say... I'm starting to think that a real subscription might need to be figured out for at least a couple of my kids.
