Reading Kingdom: We are still loving this!

Quite awhile back, I reviewed Reading Kingdom.  We were blessed beyond measure to be given a one-year subscription, I'm telling you.  I have NOT been remotely consistent with Reading Kingdom lately, but I still wanted to check in with an update.

William and Thomas are the two who are using this with some regularity.  Trina just isn't ready, though maybe I'll start her back up in the fall.  Richard, well, I ought to be consistent with him.  I really should.

Here is why I am writing this morning though.  One thing I complained about in my original review was the frustration for ME in not really knowing what my kids were working on or where they were in the program.  Okay, so I still think the reporting needs some improvement, but they have made one change that gives me a bit more information:

So, now I have a graphic representation of where the child is in the program as a whole, and in their current level.

The best part?  My older two anyway are totally motivated by this little chart.  They finish a lesson and instead of closing the computer and walking away, they wait for the page to load and announce to me every change in those percentage numbers.

I still think this is a fabulous program, especially for struggling readings.  My older two are continuing to actually SEE the non-content words (the, of, to, from...) which they simply never rarely did before Reading Kingdom.

Check them out.  And yes, I received a free subscription, but I already fulfilled my end of the bargain in writing the original review.  I was under no obligation to ever talk about them again, and I receive no compensation for doing so.

Hi.
Thanks so much for following up with this information. We love feedback!
I also wanted to let you know that another significant update to the reporting is coming within the next week or two, so watch out for it.

We are still using it too although I haven't been as consistent as I wanted to be. My 7 yo has made great progress and got to level 2! I LOVE that they added that on there so you can easily see the progress. Alex always checks it before he logs off.
