Planning for the week...

It's a new month, and I'm turning over a couple of leaves.  Well, not literally.  Why do we turn over new leaves anyway?  Shouldn't we let them grow?  Turn over some old ones, you know, like composting or something...  but I digress...

So, I posted earlier that I'm participating in a group that will be working through the 31 Days to Clean book.  It's going to be a Monday-Friday thing, so that means it will really be sixish weeks.  I'll probably have to take a couple days off in early June, so maybe on some of those weeks, I'll try to do 6 days worth, we'll see.

My hope is to regain control of my house.  We haven't recovered from the construction that happened here earlier this year.  I have stuff from the kitchen cabinets all over my dining room table, and insulation in the study.  It's a mess.  A big mess.  And I aim to do something about it.  Finally.

My big project today has been to get some serious planning done for school.  We are doing too many things in too many programs, and I don't have ONE place to look to keep track of it all.  As a result, I spend most of my schooling time trying to remember what we're supposed to be doing, or trying to figure out what needs to happen next.

A couple weeks ago, I pulled out my Schoolhouse Planner (High School version) and created two weeks of reasonably detailed plans for Connor.  School with him has gone fairly well the past two weeks... but I'm still floundering with everyone else.

So, today, I scheduled out another week for Connor (so I have 5/2 and 5/9 weeks together).  And I pulled up my Intermediate Planner and did a schedule for the next two weeks for Thomas and William.  I'm hoping, praying, planning that having it IN ONE PLACE will mean that their school happens consistently too.

I'm trying to decide if I have it in me to do up two weeks of a schedule for Richard and Trina.  I know theirs would be super-easy to do, so I really should.  If I don't, we'll probably be pretty hit and miss (more miss than hit) this week for them too.

But I'm tired...

If I don't get it done, then next weekend for sure...

I worked on creating a HST Lesson Plan for the All Together Social Studies book. I feel so much better having a plan! I really should have done *more* planning as I don't feel like I have *any* plan for this week except that "we're going to do school". Good for you that you have some plans. I hate feeling like I am floundering.
