Reading Aloud Challenge: August 11

Better late than never, right?

I've meant to post all day.  It's just one of those days...

So without a lot of bellyaching, here is what we've been reading this week.

Augustine Came to Kent (Living History Library)Augustine Came to Kent.  This has been with just William and Thomas, and we're far enough into it now that they beg for one more chapter.  What a great book.  It is nice to be back to doing our Illuminations books.

Still More Stories from Grandma's Attic (Grandma's Attic Series)Still More Stories from Grandma's Attic.  This one I'm reading mostly to Richard and Trina.  I'll be reviewing it in a couple weeks.  This is one I have never read, and it is as delightful as the earlier two (In Grandma's Attic and More Stories from Grandma's Attic).

We read some picture books, and read some science, but really, the above two are about it.

Plans for this coming week?  We are seriously getting back to school.  So we'll be finishing up Augustine, and continuing to read the Grandma's Attic books.  I believe I'm going to be reading Banner in the Sky to Connor.  I don't know, I've lost track of where he is.

How did your week go?  Sign the linky to link up your reading aloud post and I'll definitely come visit your post.   Love having you here...

My week's report was pretty simple, too, Debra. I think most of us have our brain cells and energies focused on getting "back to school" with our children. It's okay. Soon we'll have entire piles of books we are reading to our children.

We were finally able to get back into reading out loud again. We loved the Grandma's Attic and More Stories from Grandma's Attic books. We will have to try the Still More Stories book.

I included a link to the FREE Chronicles of Narnia series being read aloud on Ancient Faith Radio. This was a better than several weeks I had this summer week but not as much reading aloud as I wanted to do or even planned to do.
