A Tournament of Reading

I posted earlier about some of the reading challenges I'm planning to participate in this year.  One that I think is just perfect for me this year is this one, put on by Medieval Bookworm.

I'm going for the King level, which means nine medieval books this year.  If we weren't heading into medieval times in school this year, I'd probably have gone for Peasant.  I'm posting a list right now, with the caveat that it may change as the year goes.  If I blog about individual books as the year goes on, I'll link that here later.

History:
1. The History of the Medieval World by Susan Wise Bauer
2. The Time Traveler's Guide to Medieval England by Ian Mortimer

Historical Fiction:
1. The Last Kingdom by Bernard Cornwell
2. The Greatest Knight by Elizabeth Chadwick

Literature:
1. Beowulf
2. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

Any category:
1.  ??
2. ??
3. ??

You are making me want to do some of these reading challenges--I need to read just for pleasure again! Meanwhile I need to make myself do some things...like the Illuminations review.

Uhh, yeah, you had to bring that up...

I need to work on my Worship Guitar Review. THEN I need to get Illuminations going.

(But this is far more fun!!)
