Bible in 90 Days - Week 2

Oh, I'm having so much more fun doing the Bible in 90 Days this time through!  Maybe it is because I know I can do it.  Maybe it is because I'm not trying to schedule it for a time when all three of my older boys are available.
But I think it is because I have an amazing group of ladies in my mentor group, and they are keeping me motivated.

We've read through Genesis and Exodus at this point, and it was a whirlwind tour.  I love these books at this pace.

I was struck again by all of the grumbling in Exodus.  Maybe it is because I do so much of it, so it annoys me to read about it?  I don't know.

And this time through, I paid more attention to all of the names instead of putting my brain into autopilot through those passages.  Every one of those people was someone important enough to be mentioned, and they had real lives with real hopes, dreams and fears.  Knowing who they were was important to someone, or it wouldn't have been written down.

Anyway, I am looking forward to another great week, and I'm really looking forward to hearing from all of my group.  I've been in touch with most of them this past week... anyone reading this can say a quick prayer for Debra's little group.

Until next week...

And you can check out what other people have to say by clicking the graphic above, or going here.

I would love to do this, but I just don't think I could finish it. I can't even read the Bible in a year.

Who knows maybe a faster paced program would give me the kick in the butt that I need!

Congrats on your commitment!

I know what you mean Debra. I always feel the same way when I read Exodus!

Shasta -- oh, that is exactly what I thought when I saw the first Bible in 90 Days challenge. I kept reading updates from people who were doing it, but I though, NO WAY!

And I was right. The timing was not right for me to do it then. But the next time they did it, something just clicked and I knew I had to. It was awesome.

So don't think you have to do it. But be open to it later. :)

It was a great week! They sure were complainers though...but then again, I'm probably not much better at times!
