Review and Giveaway: Theo Presents

Since starting to review products on my blog, I've had the opportunity to check out all kinds of neat things I simply never would have discovered on my own.

Theo Presents, a cartoon guiding children and adults through systematic theology, is certainly one of those things -- something I never would have discovered on my own.

Theo Presents is the dream of Michael Joens. He created the character of Theo back in 1978... but it wasn't until NOW that everything fell into place for Theo Presents to be produced. Meanwhile, Mike worked on all kinds of cartooning... from Fraggle Rock and My Little Pony to McGee and Me and Adventures in Odyssey.

The first episode - Saving Faith - is being released this week, and that is what we had the opportunity to preview. The main idea presented is that we can have faith in all kinds of things, but the value lies in having faith in something -- someone -- worthy.

The quality of the animation was excellent, and the characters were endearing. It held the interest of everyone. I only wish I had brewed up some tea (with the enclosed tea bag) and made cookies...

I enjoyed the parent guide that is available on the website. This guide gives some suggestions for questions to discuss and some activities to do. I'm also liking the opportunity to purchase this as a download instead of as a DVD.

The great part? I get to give away not one, but TWO copies of this DVD. This would be amazing for use within your family... or donated to a church library or Sunday School.
