Gratitude Challenge: November 3

Gratitude Challenge, day 3.

I've had a really tough time today feeling grateful.  I went to bed last night with an idea as to what I was going to post today for the Gratitude Challenge.  And then... well...

Life happened.

So tonight, finally, I'm going to be grateful for a back seat van door that won't open.  It won't open because of the deer that ran into the van this morning.

But the van still runs.  And the driver's door opens.  As do the two doors on the passenger side.

This all happened IN cell phone range, so had it been worse, Dale would have been able to make a call without hiking to a high point.

He can get to and from work.

That is truly something to be thankful for...  I only wish I could have sincerely felt that at 7:00 this morning, instead of it taking me all day to process it and get to this point.  Oh, I mouthed the words this morning.  But I didn't feel them. But God had to have been watching over him this morning, and I really am (NOW) grateful...

I am so sorry this happened to your van. Yes, God was watching out for him.

That is something hard not to be upset about, but you are right. And at least everyone is OK.

Wow, what a rough thing to happen! But, as you say, at least your husband is okay. And your van still runs. Okay, one door doesn't work, but you have healthy children who can get in from another door. Not a disabled child on crutches or in a wheelchair. Praise God, your family is okay and you still have transportation! :)
